Testimonials

The Baads Farm Livery Yard (pronounced Bads Farm) is nestled in a valley surrounded by nothing but miles of countryside which makes you feel like you are 'in the middle of nowhere'.  Yet, our unique location is situated between West Lothian and North Lanarkshire and is only a 5 minute drive from M8 J5 Harthill and Shotts.  This also makes commuting from Glasgow or Edinburgh quick and easy.

Apart from the 200 acres of farmland to ride through, we have the pleasure of riding around Forestburn Loch which is a 5 minutes walk away, there is also acres of woods within a 10 minute hack.  For the serious hackers we also have our own direct off-road access to the Glasgow - Edinburgh bridlepath which is ideal for all levels of riders.

About our livery

At Baads Farm Livery Stables, we aim to provide a quiet, relaxed atmosphere for both horse and rider. With 10 high quality stables, peaceful surroundings and high level of care for horses, we believe that you, and your horse, will enjoy your time with us.

The yard has 10 large stables, split into two blocks, one of which is recently built, each block provides ample covered areas for you to attend to your horse in comfort. Each stable measures 12ft x 12ft  or 16 x 12ft and have been built with the horse in mind.  We only use the highest quality of bedding and pride ourselves on a high standard of stable management.

We are able to offer all year turnout.

We understand that each horse is an individual and has its own needs and preferences. Prior to your horse coming to stay with us we will discuss  your horse's personal requirements and, once agreed,  these will be incorporated into your livery contract. This means that you can relax and be assured that your horse's welfare and happiness are being catered for. However, we know that a horse's mood and behaviour can change so these contract conditions can be changed to suit.
